FAQs
My student numbers are fixed by Council so how can I increase my capacity?
Students numbers will almost always be fixed by the council however that does not mean it can’t be increased if the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) will support it. A new application will need to be made to the council showing how the increase can legitimately be achieved.
How can I increase my capacity for more students with the same campus space?”
That will vary for each individual site and is dependent on 6 or 7 key infrastructure elements of the building including, but not limited to, the size of the space, the number of toilets, the number of exits, just to name a few. Parking also has a direct impact on occupancy numbers and will also need to be addressed.
How many students will I get?
The most that can legitimately fit in your building depending on the strategy you use to fill your classrooms and lecture halls.
